Summary: The study guide covers the classic topics of the initial course of probability theory and contains problems recommended for solving in practical classes in the discipline «Probability theory» for bachelor’s degree holders in the specialty 172 Telecommunications and radio engineering. The purpose of the manual is to teach students the basic ways of reasoning and research methods when building probabilistic models of phenomena and experiments and finding their characteristics. Special attention is paid to the practical content of the tasks. The manual presents a significant number of problems that arise in the study of mass service systems and in the theory of telecommunications.
