Summary: The collective work, carried out under the auspices of the International Union of Academies of Sciences (MAI — IUA) and the Commission on Slavic Archeology at the International Committee of Slavists (ICS), is devoted to the practically undeveloped topic of civilizational relations during the Middle Ages in the Black Sea region. The presented essays are the third part of the project and highlight the issue of contacts between the population of medieval times, which then lived in the region between the Dnieper and the Bosporus.
