Summary: The monograph is devoted to the justification and conceptualization of an interdisciplinary approach to relations with the organization of the use of remote sensing of the Earth for research and protection of the archaeological heritage of Ukraine, as well as to the determination of directions for improving legal regulation in this area. The paper analyzes the current state and prospects for the development of Ukrainian legislation regarding the protection and research of archaeological heritage objects, as well as presents the results of practical monitoring work using aerial photography, which involved: 1) recording the state of preservation of monuments of national importance; 2) study of erosion zones of Dnieper reservoirs. The monograph is the result of the implementation of the scientific project «Legal and organizational aspects of the use of aerial photography for the study and protection of the archaeological heritage of Ukraine», carried out within the framework of the Program of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine «Grants of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to research laboratories/groups of young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for conducting research in priority directions of the development of science and of techniques 2020—2021». The work summarizes the research results that have already been presented for discussion and have not been published before.
