Methods of Approximation Theory

Type of periodical: Monographies

Section: Mathematics

Publication date: 2005

Authors: Stepanets A. I.

Summary: In the monograph methods are developed admitting to solve in the same way traditional extremal problems of approximation theory for large unions of periodic functions including as particular cases known Weyl-Nagy and Sobolev classes of functions as well as classes of functions defined by convolutions with arbitrary summable kernels. Developed methods admits to solve problems of approximation theory not only in periodical case but also in the case when objects of approximation are locally integrable functions on real axis and functions represented by integrals of Cauchy type in domains of complex plane bounded by rectifiable Jordan curves.
