The Bondarikha natural boundary, where Bondarikha 2 site was found, located on the modern southern outskirts of Izium, Kharkiv region. The place of the site is a section of an over-flooded terrace that stretches along the left bank of the Seversky Donets and a section of an old river bed called the Willow Pit. In the north, the section of the terrace was crossed by an unnamed stream, and from the south by floodplain meadows. In the lowlands near the terrace there are wetlands.
