Summary: The monograph presents the results of assessment and prediction of the status of natural biosystems of different organization levels in the territory of Western Polissya, Volyn-Podillya and the Carpathians under current climate change. Characteristics of climate change in the region were described as well as its effect on biodiversity of entomofaunistic complexes; biogeocoenotic cover of the territory was analyzed; the role of deadwood stock in the forest ecosystems in mitigation of the climate change was revealed; principles of active nature conservation management in dominant and rare types of habitats were determined; climate-triggered transformation of populations and communities in the high-mountain zone of the Ukrainian Carpathians was studied; the role of adaptive strategy of mosses in the conservation of functions and diversity of natural biosystems under climate change conditions was established.
