Summary: The brochure presents recommendations on the assessment of climate change trends by bioclimatic parameters, evaluation of climate-triggered change in the ranges of entomofaunistic complexes, and measuresfor the conservation of their diversity in the western regions of Ukraine. Recommendations are given onhow to deal with deadwood for building up stable forests and conservation of biodiversity. For the high-mountain areas of the Ukrainian Carpathians measures for the conservation of endangered cold-loving plant species are recommended, and indicative characters for the assessment of the status and prospects of rare plant species populations are defined. Measures for the conservation of zoodiversity and rare habitats are elaborated. The ways of application of bryophytes for monitoring changes in structural-functional organization of phytosystems under climate change conditions are described.
