Summary: The monograph presents the results of research on the experience of reception, mastering and approbation of the post-positivist methodology of analysis of I. Lakatosha’s research programs in sociology. The origins and content of Lakatos’s methodology are clarified in the context of comparing different versions of positivism in sociology and philosophy of science. The specificity of postpositivism in sociological research, its advantages and limitations, compared to other social scientific paradigms, is expressed in a broad representative multiparadigmatic context of social sciences. An explication of the elements and contours of the post-positivist concept of sociological science is offered. Interpretations and applications of the ideas of postpositivism in sociological analytical-empirical, historical-theoretical and meta-theoretical scientific research are systematized. Explication of trends and conceptual potential of theoretical research programs of civil society and transculturality are offered.
