Summary: Scientific-editorial project of the M. Rylskyi Institute of Art Studies, Folkloristics and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine the Ukrainian Artists’ Dictionary is a work of encyclopedic nature in several books. It is aimed at the presentation of the facts on the masters of Ukrainian Visual Arts from the most ancient times till the early 21st century inclusively to the readers. It concerns the artists born in Ukraine and who have worked on its lands and also those come from Ukraine, but worked abroad. At the same time the Dictionary includes the names of foreign artists. They have taken part in the artistic process on Ukrainian terrains directly, been significant for Ukrainian art or appealed to Ukrainian themes in their works. The second book of the Dictionary envelopes over a thousand entries, contains biobibliographic information about the artists, whose surnames / names / pseudonyms / pen names start in Г — З letters.
