Summary: Steel construction is one of the signs of sustainable development and circular economy modern civilization. In addition to purely economic preferences, consisting of speed, quality, durability of metal construction, humanity is given the opportunity to feel and contemplate the aesthetics of architectural design, which is the embodiment of bold artistic solutions with application steel structures. An integral part of the construction of metal structures is fire protection processing that increases the fire resistance class of steel structures, and accordingly, the degree fire resistance of buildings. This monograph examines the main trends in the development of the world and domestic markets of passive fire protection, comparative characteristics were conducted basic fire protection products, a short glossary of fire protection terms is provided industry, which was compiled with the involvement of modern national and European standards. The publication also contains a catalog of fire protection products certified in Ukraine, information from which can be used as a reference material in the development of project documentation fire protection.
