Summary: The book contains reports of participants in the First Sociological Readings «Ukrainian Sociological Thought in Search of the Ways of Socio-economic Development». The event was dedicated to the memory of Valerii Mykhailovych Vorona — Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honoured Science and Technology Worker, and Director of the Institute of Sociology from 1992 to 2021. In their articles and essays, the speakers present interesting facts about the life of V.M. Vorona, highlight his scientific inquiries and achievements, outline his contribution to Ukrainian science, and reflect on present-day socio-economic problems.
