Summary: The monograph covers the issue of political governance in Ukraine in accordance with the world rankings of democracy. The research and analytical reports of such international non-governmental organizations as «Freedom House», «The Economist Intelligence Unit», «Reporter without Borders» and others were taken into account. Based on the analysis of these materials, the dynamics of the index and rating of democracy of Ukraine against the background of the state of global freedom during 1996—2021 — a period of active monitoring of Ukrainian political processes.
