Summary: The collective monograph contains the results of research presented at the X Ukrainian Electrochemical Congress, which took place on September 24—26, 2024 at the National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute». The vast majority of presented scientific reports are aimed at solving the problems of electrochemical materials science, in particular, at the development of scientific foundations and technological processes of electrochemical synthesis of new materials with specified properties for the basic industries of the industrial complex of Ukraine. Among the achievements of Ukrainian electrochemists, it should be noted the concept of modernization of galvanochemical technologies and the restructuring of electrochemical production in accordance with the requirements of modern science and technology, in particular, in the synthesis of smart materials, multicomponent alloys and metal-oxide compositions, electrocatalysts and sensors for various purposes, photoconverters of energy into electricity, solar creative development in the creation of chemical current sources of a new generation, new processes for extracting metals and alloys from natural and man-made raw materials, protection of metals from corrosion. Organically expanding reports on electrochemical energy, which testify to the significant progress achieved by domestic specialists in the development and creation of solid-state lithium batteries, hybrid lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells and portable hydrogen generators. Modern electrochemistry allows not only to solve current problems of materials science and energy, but also problems of ecology. This is evidenced by the reports devoted to the regeneration of spent lithium current sources, the utilization of carbon dioxide and the synthesis of valuable compounds from it, the use of membrane technologies in cleaning processes, sensors for monitoring the environment, etc.

Reading audience: It is intended for teachers, graduate students and students of higher educational institutions, scientists and specialists who specialize in the field of electrochemistry and the technology of electrochemical production.
