Summary: Scientific-editorial project of the NASU M. Rylskyi IASFE the Ukrainian Artists’ Dictionary is a voluminous work of encyclopaedic nature. It is aimed at the presentation of the facts on the masters of Ukrainian Visual Arts from the most ancient times till the XX century inclusively to the readers. It concerns to the artists born in Ukraine and who have worked on its lands and also those come from Ukraine, but worked abroad. At the same time the Dictionary includes the names of foreign artists. They have taken part in the artistic process on Ukrainian terrains directly, been significant for Ukrainian art or appealed to Ukrainian themes in their works. The third book of the Dictionary contains biobibliographic information about the artists, whose surnames / names /pseudonyms / pen names start in І — Л [I—L] letters.
