Summary: The book is devoted to the history of lexicographic and textual representation of the speech of the inhabitants of the town of Bolekhiv in Ivano-Frankivsk region, namely to the events and materials accompanying the creation and reading of the publications Words from Bolekhiv (Lviv, 2017) and Bolekhiv Stories. Dialect Texts (Lviv, 2021). These works are the result of collaboration between a native speaker of the local dialect, physician by profession and native of the town, Yurii Hnatyshak, and dialectologists from the Ivan Krypiakevych Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the NAS of Ukraine, Tetiana Yastremska and Oksana Simovych. Among the co-authors of the lexicon Words from Bolekhiv was the late Nataliya Khobzei. The work Football Horizons of Bolekhiv (Lviv, 2024) is dedicated to the history of local football. Publications that reproduce the linguistic world and ethnographic features of the town, recording the living speech of dialect speakers, have sparked considerable resonance among the academic community and local residents. A number of presentations have been held, reviews and scholarly works based on Bolekhiv materials have been published. These materials serve as a reliable source for diverse dialectological studies, as they illustrate the features of transitional dialects — Naddnistrian — Boyko varieties — of the Ukrainian language. It is precisely these materials that shaped the proposed edition, which testifies to the significance of dialectological works for both science and culture.
