Summary: During archaeological research in 2018 in Kyiv Podil in the basement of a destroyed residential wing of the 19th—20th c. the horizons of cultural layers of different times, in particular the Old Russian, were researched. During the salvage archaeological research, the employees of the Architectural and Archaeological Expedition of the Institute of Archaeology of the NAS of Ukraine discovered a coin treasure of the 19th-early 20th centuries, which was able to be studied in its original context. The treasure contained silver coins minted in the period from 1817 to 1915. It is a vivid reflection of the era and an excellent illustration of the monetary circulation of the second half of the 19th century. At the same time, the treasure can be a source of additional information about the life of the inhabitants of Kyiv Podil during the industrial age. The publication is dedicated to this extraordinary find.
