Summary: The course «Study of medical plants resources» as an important component of pharmaceutical disciplines on the one hand is a continuation and final stage of botanical education of pharmacist, on the other hand is a basic discipline for pharmacognosy because creating new effective herbal remedies and their introduction into medical practice is impossible without studying relevant resource base. Researching the variety of medicinal plants as a source of medical plants resources is provided all around the world but their direction and nature are different depending on the country. These differences are related to the features of the economy of a country, it s traditions, plants resources wealth, availability and cultivation of area. Materials published in the workbook are aimed to familiarize future specialists with international priorities in the field of education, use and protection of medicinal plants, participation of Ukraine in the global market of herbal remedies and substances.
