Summary: On 12 December 2023, at the invitation of the authorities of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Białystok, a lecture from the series «Lectures by Masters» was delivered by Prof. Yevhen Nakhlik, scholar of Ukrainian, Polish and Russian literature, comparatist, director of the Ivan Franko Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Lviv, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and foreign member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. Prof. Nakhlik gave an online lecture in Polish entitled Literary creativity as the author’s premonition and prediction of his own fate. The audience were academics and students from the Faculty of Philology at the University of Białystok. The researcher had previously attended conferences co-organised by Bialystok philologists in Bialystok, Kyiv and Paris in person on several occasions, but this time the war in Ukraine following
