Summary: The collection presents documents of the Ukrainian NKVD on the mass repressive operation against the Zionists that lasted from December 1937 to December 1938. Various information materials, procedural documents of the state security investigations, as well as statements and complaints on unjustified arrests, falsified interrogation protocols, torture and wrongful verdicts of former members of the Zionist movement of the 1920s and early 1930s are published forthe first time. The set of sources testifies to little-known aspects of political persecution and massa¬cres initiated by the Soviet leadership and carried out by NKVD officers during the Great Terror. The publication includes introductory articles, archeographic preface, comments on documents, and references apparatus.
