Summary: The manual presents the theoretical and practical aspects of the activities of scientific and analytical centres of the Republic of Poland in the field of international relations and national security. The author examines the regulatory, structural, organisational, professional and analytical aspects of the functioning of government think tanks, academic and university research centres, and public research initiatives aimed at shaping the foundations of Polish foreign policy. The author uses Polish information and scientific resources that enable the analysis of modern world political and economic information processes to solve applied problems of geopolitics and regional studies. The analytical component of the assessment of the international situation by such Polish institutions as the Polish Institute of International Relations, the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Eastern Europe Studio of the University of Warsaw, the Institute of International Relations of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, the Western Institute, the Centre for Eastern Studies, the Stefan Batory Foundation, the Kazimierz Pulaski Foundation, and other institutions is covered.
