Summary: The monograph presents the main results of archaeological research in 1996—1999 on the territory of the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery. An architectural and archaeological description of its monumental buildings of the 12th century — the St. Michael’s Cathedral and the gate church — is given, and an analysis of the objects and items of material culture of the 10th—19th centuries, discovered during research on this territory of Upper Kyiv, is presented.
