Summary: This monograph summarizes the research of the Institute of Information Technologies of V.I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, dedicated to conceptual, technological, and professional changes taking place in the library environment in the context of digital social transformations. It examines contemporary approaches to the transformation of scientific libraries under the influence of digitalization, globalization of information flows, and the growing needs of research communities. The authors consider the library as a key element of knowledge infrastructure that ensures the accessibility, preservation, systematization, and analytical processing of scientific information in conditions of rapid technological development. The evolution of information service models, the development of electronic resources, digital collections, repositories, scientometric services, and open science are analyzed. Considerable attention is paid to the integration of libraries into global information networks, the use of modern IT solutions (artificial intelligence, knowledge management systems, semantic technologies), and the formation of user-oriented intellectual services. Using the example of electronic databases, research support services, and digital collections of historical and cultural heritage sources implemented at V.I.
