Summary: The textbook describes the main formations of vegetation in Ukraine, the classification schemes of plants are presented on the example of the forest-steppe. From the standpoint of complexity the main and related descriptive geobotanical methods, approaches, techniques of research of Ukraine vegetation are described on the basis of the dominant classification. One part of the textbook presents the methodology of research criteria. The text is supported by illustrations.
