Summary: The ecological state of the components of the environment in the flood-inundated territories of the Western region of Ukraine in 2008 and 2023 was analyzed. The geo-informatics system takes into account all ten components of the natural-anthropogenic geosystem, namely, the geological environment, geophysical fields, relief, hydrosphere, atmosphere, pedosphere, flora and fauna, demosphere and technosphere. In the course of the research, the scale of unauthorized development of sand-gravel mixture from riverbeds and floodplains, which strengthens erosion processes and contributes to the development of catastrophic consequences of water elements, was analyzed. Scientific recommendations based on modeling, forecasting and development of practical measures to prevent and reduce the catastrophic consequences of water disasters are offered with the dissemination of the acquired experience to the entire valley of the Dniester River, as well as the basins of the Prut, Tisza, Sereta and other rivers. A hierarchical constructive-ecological geo-informational system of ecological safety of flooded territories has been developed from the global, interstate, national and regional levels to the regional, district, settlement and business levels. Proposed technologies for protecting the environment of objects and territories from catastrophic floods.
