Summary: The uniqueness of the settlements on the Pliazh tract, the large-scale excavations of which took place for almost 40 years with long breaks, lies in the extraordinary concentration of objects from different periods, which were accompanied by rich materials, the understanding of which, without a doubt, will take a long time. As a result of the research conducted in 2019 at the multilayered settlement of Rivne-pliazh 1A, important data on the stages of settlement of the middle course of the Ustya River were obtained. In total, 25 objects from different periods were discovered on the site (object 4 turned out to be covered by the thalweg of a temporary watercourse that flowed into the Ustya River back in the Bronze Age), among which object 24 should be considered the oldest — it arose in the Early Neolithic, during the development of the Volyn Highlands by the tribes of Linear Pottery Culture (LPC). A fairly large number of Neolithic artifacts discovered during the study of lithological layers of later origin indicate the existence of a settlement whose cultural deposits and objects were destroyed by later settlers.
