Summary: The improved approaches we developed to increase the eco-energy efficiency of the vortex type components of the thermal power plants. Among them the micro-cogeneration unit using the biofuel (15 kWt), low emission burner of pulverized coal boiler (75 MWt), vortex technology of gas turbine blades cooling, dry cooling tower for cooling of circulating water, new heat exchange surface with higher thermal-hydraulic performance. Both the experimental and theoretical methods were used in this study. The new scientific results were obtained towards thermogasdynamics of traditional and alternative fuel burning, thermal processes in gas turbine blades and dry cooling tower, pressure drop reduction at the cross flow of round tubes bundle.
