Summary: The book presents a catalogue of Cyzicenes (electrum coins of the ancient town of Cyzicus) from the collection of the Odessa Archaeological Museum. The core of the collection is represented by 73 staters of 43 types from the Hoard of Orlovka. The catalogue contains information on other specimens of this typo and denomination known from literature and auction catalogues. The book discusses various aspects of mintage and circulation of Cyzicenes between different poleis and specifics of their circulation on the northern coast of the Black Sea as understood from recent numismatic and epigraphic finds. A special chapter is dedicated to the Hoard of Orlovka as an evidence of ancient economy and culture.
