Summary: The monograph presents the results of a study on the main directions of the crisis of modern representative democracy, which have been identified by world-renowned scholars. They cover various areas of existing democratic processes, which are reflected in their fundamental conceptual provisions. The subject of special research attention of the authors of the monograph were the most common concepts in the aspect of political culture, where the most noticeable current negative influences in the media, and in the functioning of public authorities and local government. The research team focused on studying the different formats and directions of the crisis developed by Polish and Ukrainian scholars, which are inherent in modern representative democracy in these specific countries.
